About 6 months ago Anna started requesting a princess theme for her 4th birthday party. I fought it. I really did. You see, I've never been much of a girly-girl and I selfishly tried to convince her to desire something else. Well, my husband gently reminded me over and over again that her birthday party was not about me and that princesses were not all that bad. So, here you have it. I embraced it and planned a fun little princess party for my little princess. I kept it low-key with a play-date party and it worked out perfectly. Once again I learned that children can be quite easy to please with simple things. We played a game called "pass the glass slipper" (like hot potato), ate lunch, decorated brownies, and opened gifts.
And Anna was thrilled.
(I really wish I could remember to turn the date stamp off on the camera ... we keep it on for house photos!!)
Henry didn't dress up like a pirate? I like her hairbow in the photo. Glad it turned out well and simple.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Pictures!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I know I'll be anti-princess, as well. I hope I can handle it with grace if my someday little girl is a princess-crazed girl. Though, I don't need to worry, because Waltons make boys. :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww...what a cute party! The kids look so cute in their princess wear. Anna will probably always remember her princess party.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that Anna's 4th birthday went well :) I love the pics and think that they all (except Henry of course)look so adorable in princess costumes. Also love the cupcakes :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think we should say "poor Henry", but "LUCKY HENRY"!! He is surrounded by beautiful princesses!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on a wonderful birthday Pam!!
