Anniversary Trip!

This was such a fantastic trip!  We rarely go on date nights, let alone trips, so this was a big deal for us.  We dropped the girls off in Indy and took the train to Chicago where we vacationed for 3 days.  We felt very spoiled at our hotel, The Hilton Conrad.  We stayed there for free, thanks to our reward points (silver lining to John's work travels), and they upgraded us to one of their terrace suites overlooking Michigan Ave when John told them it was our anniversary.  I know some people are used to that kind of living, but John and I were totally into making a big deal about all the perks!  Turn down service, chocolates delivered, bathroom as big as our bedroom, etc.  It was beyond nice and we were funny about it too : )  Anyway, we splurged on two of our meals, one of them being on the top floor of the Hancock Bldg for brunch. It was good food with a GREAT view.  We also saw movies, got coffee, went to a museum, window shopped, people watched, laughed a ton,  talked without interruptions, and nearly froze to death on Navy Pier : ) We didn't know what to do with ourselves.  I guess that's why we did see a movie at 10:30 one day ... because we could!  After 10 years, I'm still crazy about John and just love him so much! Thankful for the memories!

Many many thanks to Mom and Dad Bailey for giving us the best anniversary gift by caring for our children.  The girls had their own awesome vacation : )
