Another year passes

Another school year is over!  I can hardly believe the amazing things they are doing and teaching in school these days! (Do I sound old??)  It is truly impressive.  Anna grew a lot this year and was placed with teachers that challenged her and helped her to excel. She loved the science experiments! Of course, the year had challenges, but I'm thankful that we were able to grow together!  Payton is coming out of first grade reading chapter books & there's no stopping her!  Her class was so close and she made many friends.  Both of the girls felt a little sad on Friday night because they had to say goodbye to such a great year!  But summer is here now!!!

Anna with her Language Arts teacher. I loved her because she didn't give out homework!
Payton & her wonderful 1st grade teacher (Anna also had her). We love her so much that Sarah is already saying that she wants to be in her class!
I took pics of the girls every day the last week of school when I dropped them off!  By Friday, they were annoyed :)
 My four babies!
Payton came home on Friday and started emptying her backpack. She pulled out her pencil box and it was filled to brim. We opened it and counted 65 pencils!  We asked her how she ended up with so many pencils and she replied, "Whenever a pencil needed to be sharpened I put it in my box & I just got an already sharpened pencil from the lost & found box instead!"  LOL!!! What?!?!

We armed all the parents at the bus stop with water guns and blasted the kids when they walked off the bus. It was awesome.  Afterwards we hosted a water party in our back yard. The kids were so excited and it was a great way to end the school year.

Payton was in a ballet class this year and her recital was this weekend. Oh my goodness, it was the sweetest thing. I loved seeing all the performances from the beginners to the advanced students. There was so much talent.  I think this is the end of dance for Payton, though. She thinks it's boring!

On our way to the performance I asked her if she was nervous, and with certainty she said, "Not at all!"
