Jane 1 year

Jane turned one on August 28th.  This has been a whirlwind year with her.  Sometimes I can't even remember what she was like a few months ago?? How does that happen?

Jane is a champ at sleeping. bless. She moved to one nap a day a few weeks ago.  She started cruising around 11 months and took her first solo step on September 6th  (I wasn't there!).  A few weeks later she was walking everywhere and refusing to crawl.   She LOVES to eat, and blueberries, yogurt, and muffins are her favorite foods. She wants to be outside and will sometimes stand at the back door and whine to get out.  She loves to be with her sisters and follows them wherever they go. Thankfully, they still adore her.   She gets mad and has a little tantrum (stiffens her body and screams) when we take something from her or tell her "No". She sits still when I read books to her. She loves taking baths and doesn't like getting out of the water (tantrum again!).

This age is never easy for me. The short attention span, constant messes, screaming, not talking, etc., tests my patience and brings my heart to the surface. But this age is serious cuteness overload & we just love her so much! Her smiles and belly laughs melt us every time!

I think this is a great family photo because we are all looking/smiling at the camera but the flowers are on top of John's head!!

 Super Duper Mess
Life with a one-year old.  In everything everywhere :)
Cuteness heaven.   I tell John that when I look at her I get hungry eyes and then he rolls his eyes.

Her personality shining through.  We often find her with one arm out of her shirt. weird.
Peaking at baby when she sleeps.
