it's the little things

I love it that Anna enjoys the little things in life. Every outing is like an adventure to her. She gets excited about all the activities, as mundane as they may be, that we get to do together. For example, whenever I tell her that we're going to the grocery store, her eyes light up and she runs down the hall to tell Daddy, "Mommy say we're going to Kroger!!!" All the while she's jumping up and down. Her excitement has recently caused me to recognize the small things that John and I enjoy. Who would have thought that this could put a twinkle in his eye every morning?

This pic was taken during our very short hike at a state park that's a few miles from our home. Anna enjoyed swimming in the lake much more.
