Perspective

A few weeks ago I had wonderful conversation with an older, wiser woman from our church. We talked about contentment and, in particular, how easy it is to want the "next thing" instead of enjoying what God has given us now. She encouraged me to, "Enjoy these days with your little girls. You are so very blessed. God has given you a wonderful and important responsibility. One day you will wake up and wonder 'where has the time gone?'" She wrapped her arms around me in a sweet hug... the kind where I started to pull away and she pulled me in closer and squeezed tighter. I'm so thankful for encouragement.

    These thoughts go through my head so much...almost every day! My hubby and I talk about each moment and try not to look too far into the future in making our 'own plans'...Our God has a way of bringing everything together...so why not enjoy it today!
