moving on

Here's the scoop ... we've moved into an apartment! We haven't found a house that we want for the price we want, so we've decided to sit tight and cozy for a while.
We had a busy weekend. The girls went to Grandma's house, and with the help of many friends, we finished packing, storing, moving, and unpacking. We're starting to feel settled.
The girls seemed to be oblivious to all of the boxes that invaded our house ... just another fun thing to play with ... or in
last family photo in front of the house

master truck packer ... we're so thankful for all the friends who helped us.
Here we are in the empty family room. We took this photo a few minutes before the buyer met us at the house to get the keys. It was a bit sad. The funny thing is, when we moved into that home 4.5 years ago, I wasn't excited at all about the house. It was our second pick after we had lost a bid on the house I really wanted. The first year that we lived in the house, I most certainly complained a lot about the things I didn't like, and I had an ungrateful heart. You know, that house was a blessing from the Lord! I'm so glad God revealed that sin to me and changed my heart. We enjoyed our time there and have so many sweet memories. That's why I shed a few tears when we peered back at the house as we drove away ... for the last time.

  1. I hope you feel settled soon in your new apt. I'll be thinking of you as you continue to look and find that perfect home...It must feel stressful, but know there is a plan! ;) Isn't it fun to wake up in a new home? I love that feeling!
