Date Nights with Daddy have begun.
Anna heard that a few of her friends were going to see the local high school production of "Beauty & the Beast." She wanted to go. After some contemplation and discussion, we thought it could be a fun outing for her and Daddy. What were we thinking?!?!?! Well, the evening didn't go according to plan. Her fear of the beast started with the poster in the school gym and followed with the musical prelude. They were out of there before a line was spoken. They did manage to get a refund and stop for ice cream before returning home.
She told me, "I was scared of the beast, Mommy. When I'm older I can go back." Later in the weekend, she said, "Mommy, I want a Spiderman birthday when I turn 4 and a beast birthday when I turn five." What in the world?
I guess she's not growing up too fast ... and that's OK with me.
That is hilarious!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Picture!
ReplyDeleteOh little Anna... she is too sweet. She doesn't really want a beast birthday when she's 5, does she?? If so, I bet Beth could make you a killer beast cake! :)
ReplyDeleteI think (hopefully) Anna meant she wanted a BEAUTY and the Beast party! I'll make her a Belle dress for that! She is too cute and so funny!
