Payton had been asking for a Nemo birthday party for months. She became obsessed with Nemo when she played with a stuffed Nemo doll at my brother's house over Christmas. I think it has a lot to with the fact that Nemo is orange b/c she hadn't even seen the movie!! Now, Payton likes to pretend that everyone in our family is a Nemo character. Payton is Nemo, Anna is Dory, John is Marlin, and I'm Crush (sweet, dude : )
Anyway, Henry, Wyatt, Myles, & Co. came over for some pizza and cake on Friday night. It was a fun time and I think Payton was a happy little birthday girl : )
Remember when I vowed to try my best to not buy expensive store bought b-day cakes? Well, I'm so glad that this Nemo cake was easy to make (cake decorating is not my thing), but I must admit that I did order a small cake earlier in the week. I was so busy that I needed a back-up plan. I was able to cancel the order, but was reminded of why, at times, ordering a cake can be so nice and convenient.
See the sundae carousel below? This was my favorite gift that we bought Payton. This will be great for Sundae parties. We got it at Cracker Barrel, of all places! I'm telling you, they have some fun stuff there.
Now these were Payton's favorite gifts - a tutu and wings : ) Seriously cute. The rest of the evening when we called her Payton, she would say, "No, I'm a fairy!"
what is up with the cover on the cake? hilarious. love the sundae gift.
