Christmas Activities (Part 4)

"The fact that the Son of God was found lying in a manger tells you volumes about the divine love that is your only hope of rescue."  Paul Tripp

Christmas this year was really wonderful.  All of the members from both sides of our families were in town for some portion of the holidays.  That meant traveling for us and being away from our own home, but it was totally worth it.  The Friday before Christmas we drove to Indy and stayed until Monday morning.  Lots of fun times including Christmas charades, Christmas eve service, movies, Chinese food, a very rowdy game of Scattergories, and much more.
Family photo - Stephen looks like He's 2 feet taller than the rest of us : )
 Christmas Eve - the 5 of us : )
They opened their new pjs on Christmas eve. Adorable!
 Baby Girl's first Christmas : )
Payton's favorite gift was her new umbrella. For the next week she constantly asked if it was raining outside. :)

Payton also got some safari toys from Nana made by National Geographic Kids - good toys.
"I finally got this!"

This was a "big" gift Christmas for Anna.  A few months ago I asked the girls what they wanted for Christmas and Anna said "I want some new cool books and an American girl doll.  Really, I don't need any more toys, Mom."  Payton said, "I want a mousy book."  That was it.   We don't always get the girls what they ask for but their requests were so simple! A mouse book was easy to get for Payton - we put that in her stocking during our "Twelve days of Christmas."  New books for Anna? Check!  That was easy and I was happy to get those for her. Well, John's Mom decided to get Anna the American girl doll and it was so awesome and fun to watch Anna open that gift!  A memory we will all have forever.  This doll is so beautiful and well-made.  It's a treasure she will keep forever, I'm convinced : )
