Gardening

I planted a small garden this year. I can't believe it!  I've talked about wanting to do this for years and it finally happened.  Until about 2 months ago, I knew nothing about gardening except that plants need soil, water, and sunlight.  Seriously, it really intimidated me. Thankfully, my neighbor, who has a big beautiful garden, came alongside me and has helped with every step of the way.  That is just what I needed to get started.   We'll see how everything turns out.  There has certainly been some hiccups along the way which I accept as part of the learning process ... seeds that never grew (despite following all of the strict instructions,) bitter lettuce, a dying tomato plant, and falling limbs!  Here's hoping that I've started a new hobby!

  1. I have learned over the years not to start from seeds. I find that it is a hassle and the plants are so cheap if they are started in the greenhouse. Christy weeded my garden yesterday.
