Sarah - 15 Months

What can I say?!?!  Sarah is a doll.  Seriously, she brings so much joy and laughter to our family.  Her cute little face and kisses just about burst my heart!! One of my favorite parts of the day is getting her out of her crib.  I love her little baby breath and I love the excitement in her eyes when she sees me.   However, don't be fooled ... she is not a perfect little 1 year old : )   One thing I've learned after having 3 children, is that God makes them all different.
Sarah is super duper attached to me.  My other babies have always loved Mama, but Sarah wants to be glued to my hip in all her waking hours. I'm not afraid to put her down, but I have to accept the fact that she will be at my feet with her arms up and crying until it's time for bed or I put her in her high chair with toys.  It makes for an interesting day, but I know it's a season.  There's always lots to get done, but holding my babies is a pretty great alternative (unless it really does have to get done, ha ha: )

Thankfully, in our family, if a child is difficult in one area, they are easier in another. Sarah is a good sleeper (as long as she's in her crib :) It's a blessing.  Sleeping patterns can change overnight though- another thing I've learned!

We're convinced that Sarah has no interest in walking ... probably bc she wants to be held constantly : )  She took her first step right around her first birthday and will occasionally take as many as 6 steps at a time.  Otherwise, she's content with crawling and she sometimes gets mad when we try to get her to walk.  Sarah, walking is better than crawling, I promise!!  She "talks" all the time.  It's cute.  We still can't figure out what she is trying to say, but she is definitely telling us something.  John said the other say, "well, I don't think we're going to have a quiet child in this family."

  2. Oh my gosh, I'm just laughing at that Target picture! I'm convinced they should turn those seats around somehow. April does the same thing... she wants to see what's coming, not what's gone by!
