Happy Birthday, Payton!!

Payton, you are five years old now!! I can't believe this day has come.  When you were born five years seemed like an eternity away, and now it's here!  It's true, the days are long but the years are short.
We are so thankful to God for you!!

You are still petite for your age but we remind you all of the time to remember that this is the way God made you!  You love to color, do puzzles, play the Memory game, and make Littlest Pet Shop kingdoms with Anna. You refuse to watch any Wild Kratts or Strawberry Shortcake episodes without your big sister bc you don't want her to miss out. You like to tell us, "My best friends are my whole family and God."  Melts my heart!!! You are a good eater and I'm surprised at some of things you like that I make :) You still quietly find your way into our bed almost every night :)  You still like to suck your thumb, but we're making strides, aren't we?!?!  You like to make up songs and be a silly girl.  The other day I heard you making up these lyrics, "Have you heard about the Rock and Roll Beaver Dam?"  You still have a hard time with self control and getting frustrated easily, but we're being patient, we're learning, and we're praying for you all the time! You like to add a "Ca" to the beginning of a lot of words and I'm trying to get better at correcting you bc you are going to Kindergarten next year, but it's just so cute!

Surprise = Caprise
Adult = Cadult
Pajamas = Cajamas

We are thankful for you ...

Daddy - "I'm thankful for Payton's hugs. She gives the best hugs"
Anna -"I'm thankful that we get to play together."
Mommy- "I'm thankful for all the snuggles."
Sarah -"Thank you for letting me hold your new doll" :)

We love you Payton Rosy!!!

 Payton's birthday started with Donuts for Breakfast :)
Then she opened up her big gift from us.
She was so surprised that we got her an Amerian girl doll, Caroline.  Anna was 6 when she got her doll, but John and I bought this doll for Payton on a whim when we were in Chicago.  We're so glad that we did bc now she and Anna can play with their dolls together :)  They're expensive, so the longer they get to play with them, the better. :)  She did play with the doll the entire day! We ended her birthday with her favorite meal, tacos and nachos.  Then, by her request, we put together a puzzle and played "Chutes and Ladders."
