Boating Baileys

Vacation!  We had our first trip to Lake Cumberland last weekend.  Good Times!

John's parents bought a newer boat this year and it was just terrific ... smoother ride & lots of room.  They named it "The Cookie Cruiser." Snacking on cookies while boating is a Bailey tradition :)

 

The older girls were so excited! Childhood summers and boating are becoming a regular thing for them.  I'm so glad they're going to have all of these memories. There is something just so sweet and fun about seeing the girls in a different setting - happy and having new/different experiences.  Watching them grow and change makes me want to cry and clap at the same time.  Do you know how many times John and I  glance at each other and smile? Without saying a word we both know we're thinking the same thing, "we have the most darling kids on the earth," or "Did you just hear what they said?" or "Look at what they did!"  I know all of you parents do the same thing. Love it, just love it.

 

Anyway, We took the boat out every day to cruise, swim, and ski.  Anna and Payton were anxious to swim every time the boat stopped, and they stayed in the water as long as possible.  My little fish!  They didn't seem to tire at all, except until they fell asleep on the way back to the dock :)  Sarah, on the other hand, was still trying to figure things out on this trip. Every time the boat cruised she drifted off to sleep in someone's arms, but she was only happy in the water when I was holding her.   

 

Biggest Moments

Anna - Skied for the first time.  I'm so proud of her for being brave!

Payton - Loved the water more than ever! "Can we swim now?" "When can I get in?"
