To Africa!

John's sister, Crystal, is moving to Malawi!  She'll be working there for at least a year with Global Health Services, a new branch of the Peace Corps.  We are proud of her and happy for her.
Family met in Nashville to see Stephen and Danielle's new place and to see her off.  Oh man, it seemed like a whirlwind kind of weekend, but I'm so glad we got to love on her before she left.
Crystal is great with my girls.   Look at her shirt.

She's great at what she does (Midwife).  I know bc of all the Facebook comments she gets :)
Sarah and her beloved Papaw.  Oh my word, she loves him so much. It's adorable!

Weighing her bags ... 15 minutes later Payton got nursemaids elbow.  She was in a lot of pain! Unfortunately, we didn't succeed in getting it back in place on our own (we were counting on you, youtube!!).  It only took the doc at the ER 2 seconds, but we were there for 3 hours!  Thankfully, Stephen and Danielle watched the other girls.  Another memory!
Crystal, we love you and we're going to miss you!

  1. Nursemaid elbow, that is scary. We had that happen once when Grace was young. Horrible.

  2. Too bad Eric wasn't there...he saved our friend Jenn a trip to the ER by putting her daughter Caroline's arm back in place!
