Ok, finally another post. We have been electricity-free for most of this past week. When hurricane Ike moved North, it met a cold front in our region and caused a massive wind storm. It caused quite a bit of tree damage and left hundreds of thousands of people without power for days. We had four quiet and dark nights in our home......lots of extra sleep.
Here's a freaky picture of Anna holding the flashlight. Early Thursday morning John went into Anna's room and said, "We got power back, Anna. The T.V., lights, and fridge work now." Anna said, "Oh, Daddy, I'm so proud of you." A hero in her eyes... he took the credit.
I had to do a fridge/freezer cleanse since all of our food spoiled. ugh!
