Anna Banana

Oh, yes, everyone has a tendency to call her that ... even me.

What's new with our four year old? Here a few things.

1.) She loves to practice writing her letters and sometimes she randomly puts letters on a paper and asks, "what does this spell?'' 99.99% of the time is spells nothing ... except by chance on Sunday she wrote "Anna Bad." hmmm...

2.) "Mama, you're so comfy." Her new favorite thing to say about me. melts my heart.

3.) She says "I'm so busy" when she's really tired.

4.) She says "I'm burzing" when she's cold

5.) She had her preschool Christmas play recently. I must say that we were in the nosebleed section of the auditorium so I expected that the performance would be rather uneventful especially since I woudn't be able to see her without binoculars (or the zoom on my video camera). Surprisingly, the children made their way to the stage from the back of the auditorium so she walked right by our chairs .... and lost her shoe!!! She stalled the procession when she bent down to grab the shoe and I watched her limp past. My Motherly instincts told me to run after her and help her put it back on, but my friend convinced me that the teachers would help her when she reached the stage. I thought she had probably been embarressed and I was gearing up for a teachable moment when I met up with her after the performance. She told me, "I put my shoe on when I got up there." End of conversation ... It was no biggie to her. When does fear of man begin?
