Walking in a Winter Wonderland

I'm a sucker for traditions. Every year growing up my parents would take me and my brothers to downtown Cincinnati before Christmas. We would visit the beautifully decorated fountain square, the train display, and santa's workshop. That special evening was much anticipated in our home and I looked forward to it nearly as much as Christmas morning. This past Friday we had our own family outing and took the girls to a nearby mill where there was a beautiful light display.

This photo was taken after a short 4-year old meltdown. She was thirsty and didn't want to drink the hot chocolate. We eventually convinced her that it really was warm chocolate milk and not some crazy yucky concoction that her mean parents would force her to drink on this fun evening. She then, of course, enjoyed the rest of the cup. Is this what I was like as a child, Mom? This apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
Payton is happy to have gobs of popcorn.
