6 years old

Happy Birthday, Anna!
We love you so very much.

Anna turned 6 years old on Thursday!   Birthdays are bittersweet for this Mama. I enjoy watching my girls grow and mature, but it's hard to see these younger years go by.

Anna is such a blessing to our family.  She is often an obedient and fairly contented child that is easy to please.  She likes to read, work on art projects, play with old friends, and make new friends.  She likes for things to be sparkling, girly, and pink.  She likes chocolate and chooses icing over cake.   This past year she became less of a picky eater, made great strides in learning to read, learned to swim, started piano lessons, and continued to bite her nails : )  She's an imperfect but loving big sister.

Anna can be very silly and sometimes she really surprises me and encourages me to have more fun - like the other day when we were taking a walk. We started to walk past a house with sprinkler that was aimed in our direction. I moved out of the way and told Anna to watch out for the water.  She said, "Oh, I want that sprinker to hit me, Mom!"

The night before her birthday, Anna said to me, "Mom this is my last big snuggle as a five year old.  I wish I could stay 5 years old forever. I wish the tears would just come."

Dear Anna - We're so thankful that God has placed you in our family! "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing."  Psalm 34:8-11

We went to Five Guys for her birthday dinner.  She got her first loose tooth : )
