Sarah - 18 Months

Sarah, Beara, Bear, Little B, LB, destroyer, .... her list of nicknames go on.

 

She is so so cute and we are all having so much fun with her!!!

 

 Sarah finally started walking.  She took her first step around her birthday but really had no interest in walking until the week after Christmas.  Then one day, she just took off : )  She has also been teething like crazy over the past few months and now has a mouthful!.  I thought she was going to be my child that likes to eat anything I give her.  Nope.  She's spitting out food she doesn't like and firmly holding her mouth shut when she sees something new on her plate. NO!!!!!  It's never been easy : )   Her first word was Dada, and other than that, she's really not saying too many real words.  However, she makes lots of noise : ) 

 

What else can I say about an 18 month old. She's pretty typical.  She's all over the place and getting into everything.  She won't sit still for more than 10 seconds.  She hands me a book to read and after the first page, she's up and looking for something else to do.  She has ripped pages out of a few books. She runs to greet Daddy at the door now.  She helps pick up her toys.  John calls her a satellite child - she orbits around me and doesn't like to be more than 10 feet away.  However, she isn't asking to be held ALL the time anymore.  When I say, "It's time to go to bed, Sarah," she starts to cry.  The word "No" = meltdown. She crys when I drop her off in the nursery at church.  She still sleeps from 7:00 to 8:00 every night. She likes blueberries, cheese, bagels, and yogurt.  Favorite toy?  play food!
