We just had a wonderful week of vacation goodness! We joined John's parents in Kentucky to boat & relax at Lake Cumberland. Wow, it was just so nice to get away for a whole week. How sweet it is to wake up in the morning and think, "What day is it today??" What a blessing!
The girls love vacay, of course .... staying up late, eating lots of sweets, riding in the golf cart, seeing the deer, boating, swimming, watching Disney Junior, loving on family, sleeping in just a tad later than usual, playing with sticker books that Nana brought, etc. Sarah was in a super duper good mood this time around, too. Yeah! She was happy on the boat AND in the water. Oh, and she had Nana and Papaw wrapped around her cute little finger. Would you believe me if I told you that she calls Nana, "Ma Ma?" : )
- One of many golf cart rides. On one of the rides back to the condo the girls started making up songs in the back of the van. They called their trio (yes, Sarah was singing, too) "The Spirit Sisters." Their hit song was "Turn that smile upside down." Eventually they realized what that meant ... ha ha :)
Chillin on the boat. It's important for memory sake to mention that Payton likes to make up songs and sing on the boat. With the roar of the engine going, I don't think she realizes that we can hear her. Seriously, It's so cute :)
John is getting up on one ski, once again. Awesome!
Anna & Daddy. I didn't include a pic, but Anna is getting more confident skiing. She starting touching the water like her Daddy does in the pic above.
On a hike one day. Tons of bugs so we didn't last long. Nana brought her binoculars this week and Anna looked like this a lot.
Family pic.
Anna's spot on the boat - this view of her will be etched in my memory forever. She likes to sit in the front and soak in the sun and scenery. She also talks to herself : ) It's so sweet.
Uncle Stephen joined us for a few days. The girls love him. He is so great about playing with them.
Laughing at Papaw. She looks adorable.
My brave Payton. I'm so glad she got up on the bobsked. John encouraged her by telling her to do it the "Tinkerbell way."
My awesome talented Mother in Law!
Falling asleep after swimming and playing at the lake
Best memory - It was our last evening on lake and we were swimming when some storm clouds rolled in. We couldn't pull up the radar map but decided to take the boat back to the dock to be careful. Sure enough, it started raining on our ride back, but thanks for Dan's skills we got into our covered slip before the crazy rain and lightning came. We ordered pizza at the marina restaurant and ate in on the boat until the storm passed. We would have gotten soaked! Good times with family. THANK YOU Mom and Dad Bailey for providing such a great trip.
Praise God for His blessings! It was another wonderful week. You & John are doing a great job with those kids. :)
