Florida Vacation 2014 (Part 2)

Before we left for our trip I was feeling a little sour about the forecast. Even though the temps were below normal, we had so much fun and tried to make the most out of every day.  Tuesday was our cold day in Florida, but when we found out that it was snowing back home, we accepted the overcast windy 58 degree Florida temps!

I saved these sticker books for a cold/rainy day.  If you have school age girls and you need a vacation/car activity for them, I highly suggest these Usborne sticker books. This is the second time they have received this brand of sticker books, and they provide HOURS of entertainment. no joke.
On the other hand, coloring books only keep Sarah occupied for 5 minutes at a time :) She loved her Gilligan hat & wanted to wear it inside or out :)
John's parents treated us to colder day activities since we couldn't swim or hang out at the beach. First, we went to a local aquarium. We saw a dolphin show, sea lion show, fish, turtles, penguins, & more.

After lunch & naps we went to Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin.  This is a cute village situated in the Sandestin resort community. It has lots of shops, eateries, & activities.  Both of the girls did the Euro Bungy, which they loved. Anna did about five flips!

 Sarah found her favorite spot!
Anna & I did the zipline! I am so proud of Anna for doing this. When we were at the top of the tower, she said, "This is a lot higher and scarier than I thought." She didn't hold back and even waved to Daddy below :)
Payton & Sarah did the little ropes course. Payton was cruising with confidence and Sarah ... well, I wouldn't say that she loved it :)
We are so thankful that John's parents joined us on our vacation.  We love their company & they were a big help to us with the kids. We have taken trips with both sets of grandparents and I'm so glad our girls will have memories with them. What a blessing for them and for us.
 Sarah's favorite ride :)
We had dinner at Graffiti and the Funky Blues Shack. It was a unique & kid friendly place to eat :) We stopped at an adorable doll shop on our way out.
