Happys Fathers Day

Just now getting around to posting a few things about Father's Day - better late than never, right? 

I always have good intentions to plan something special for John on Father's Day, but really the day is usually pretty ordinary. Maybe one of these days I'll surprise him with something out of the norm.   This year, as usual, the girls made cards for John.  You can see the front of Anna's card in the photo below.  It's so fun that she can make her own cards now, without any prompting or help .... I like to see what her heart expresses : ) 

 The girls planned to use their own money to take John out for ice cream, but Anna was a little reluctant at lunch when she told Daddy about the surprise and then said, "Well, we want to take you out for ice cream, Daddy, but I don't know if that's a good option b/c you've had a lot of ice cream and treats lately."  Poor guy ... it was true but we indulged again anyway : )

Why are you thankful for Daddy?

Anna

"I like it when he snuggles with me, sleeps with me, and plays with me. I like everything about Daddy!!"

Payton

"Hugging around and calling Daddy at work!"

Mommy

"He's a man after God's own heart and he loves to have fun!!"
