We surprised the girls and took them to the cheap movie theater last Friday evening. We never take the girls to the theater, and by "never" I mean Anna has only been twice - both times over Christmas vacations while at John's parent's house. It's just so much cheaper and easier to watch movies from home. We didn't tell the girls where we were going and made them close their eyes (see photos) when we were about a mile away. They could hardly contain their excitement. When walked into the the building, Anna said, "What is this place?" When we finally told her that we were at theater to see Rio, she literally started jumping up and down and said, "Thank you Mom and Dad for taking me here!!!" So cute.
The movie itself was kind of a bummer. That was disappointing especially since we read some good reviews before we decided to take the girls. There were some funny parts but I wouldn't recommend seeing it. It was still a fun night out : )
