Birthday Girl

Payton turned 4 yesterday!!  Happy Birthday sweet girl.  We love you so very much!

Payton has a lot of energy.  She is funny and silly and makes us laugh so much.  She likes to make up songs ... and do the bum- bum dance (more on that later).   She likes to "read" and color in the lines.  She likes to make up stories.  She loves playing with Anna.  She likes to find her way to our bed in the middle of the night. She likes stuffed animals.  She likes to make Sarah laugh.  She still naps sometimes.  She is really fond of her Daddy and claims that she likes all the same foods as him.  

She is little and I pray that she continues to learn and trust that "this is the way God made me." 

She is passionate and I pray that God will continue to give us wisdom as we teach her about putting off a quick temper and putting on self control. 

She is our second-born and we pray that God will save her and she will grow to love Him and His Word.

Payton has been admiring this dolphin balloon at Kroger for some time now.  She always asks me if I'll buy it for her. So, I surprised her with it on her birthday morning.  She was so happy : ) 

"Four is no thumbs!" That's what she was saying yesterday when she held up her 4 fingers.  The night before her birthday, John had a time to say "good-bye" to her thumb.  Payton said, "You were a good thumb, I will miss you, good-bye thumb."  Then, on her birthday she kept offering her thumb to Sarah, "Here's a thumb, Sarah, it's tasty."   hilarious!  As you can tell, we're trying to break her of this habit.
