Ok, here are some things the girls have been up to lately and I need to put them on here so I won't forget!!
1.) Payton & Anna are really into sticker books right now. It's super cute. They put together the sticker pages, tell stories with them, and save them. It's probably their favorite activity. Nana has bought them most of their sticker books but I ordered a few through the scholastic program this past month. It was a National Geographic Cutest Animal Activity Sticker Book. The girls loved them and were totally surprised. That was fun Mom moment for me.
2.) Payton pretends to read chapter books. She's making strides with learning to read but she's definitely not near the chapter book level! When we go to the library she likes to pick out Pony Pal and Rainbow Magic chapter books. She will spend an entire hour "reading" the book out loud and making up a very imaginative storyline as she goes. Afterwards she exclaims, "I'm done with this book, Mom!" We will ask her what it was about and she tells us her story. No worries - she's doing real reading at her own level as well.
3.) Sarah & Payton both like to sing and make up songs as they walk around the house. We can hardly understand anything that Sarah says, but she's singing a happy tune! Payton sings about anything & everything. John & I think it's adorable & hilarious :)
4.) A great memory of having girls involves .... HAIRBRUSHES! It's worth writing on here that we never seem to have enough hairbrushes. John and I laugh about it when see lots of them lying around or get frustrated when we can't find one! Do any other Moms of girls feel this way? Last week when I was at Target I bought 5 new brushes. We need them everywhere - 2 in each bathroom, 2 in the bedrooms, one in my purse, one in each car, one in the diaper bag ... and they still get misplaced!

This pic involves all of Sarah's favorite things ... blankie, milk, gobs of books, and mommy close by :)
A highlight of my day - picking Anna up from school :)

I love your family. Payton looks so beautiful in that pic with John!
ReplyDeleteYou need to give someone hairbrush and headband duty. Has helped us a ton.
