More happenings!

We picked the coldest day of the month for pumpkin picking!

Sorry girls, we can't bring this one home for carving :)  There is no way I'm digging the guts out of that pumpkin!
Our three little girlies! LOVE! Sarah, you can smile and open your eyes at the same time :)
Don't count on me helping in a corn maze. The easiest one would stump me! Thankfully, John is on our team!
Our pumpkin.  The girls were acting like ghosts  :) spooky!!
Can you tell what it is?
John and I sat on the couch this evening and talked and watched the older girls play. It's so cute. After a 2 month break, they got their pet shop toys out again and started building their animal kingdoms.  Hours of play! Memories!
About a year ago I started reading the Little House books to Anna and Payton.  It takes a while :)  Anyway, it has been a great time and memory for us. The girls always have lots of questions and we have to look up definitions for quite a few words :) We finished the 2nd book at the end of the summer and I was ready for a break from this series, to be honest. I was surprised when the girls wanted to go on to the next book!  The books are so detailed and a bit slow for their age, really, but they are enjoying them! The third book is Farmer Boy. Has anyone read it before?  Whenever Almonzo talks about the food his Mom makes my stomach starts craving comfort food! The donuts!!!

  1. I still have my set of worn and faded Little House books that I read as a girl. Can't wait to share them with Avonlea.
