because I said I would

Here are the colors we painted
This is the living/playroom in the front and the dining room in the back. The shade of brown looks much better in the photo than in person. In fact I wish it looked this shade in person! If I go a little darker and with a little more gray, I think it will. Do you think I can get by with another coat on top of this one? I hope so. The shade in the dining room is a favorite of most visitors because it is quite unique. I like it especially in the evening.
Here's a shot I took of the family room. We picked a neutral beige. It looks darker in person (Allison, please teach me how to take better photos). Do you notice the fun little cuties on the left?
The study- my favorite color selection! LOVE IT!!!

  1. The key is to not use the automatic setting. Next time we're together, I'll show you. :)

  3. I love your color scheme! The brown looks great to me, but I think a second coats never hurts. Also, I love the blue-greens you have in the other rooms. We just neutralized our walls here, but I'm sure it will just be a matter of time before I want more color :) Also - wanted to tell you that your bag looks great! Was that AB pattern fairly easy to follow? LOVE the Moda fabric!

  5. Good for you for keeping the toys under control. It makes the room look so serene. Your house should rise up to meet you... as they say. Are you starting a lantern collection - that would be really neat.

  9. They all look wonderful! I am so plain Jane when it comes to paint colors (we talked at length about this), but you did wonderful and I actually think that I could go darker just by looking at your wonderful work! Your house looks gorgeous!
