If you're looking for fun, free/inexpensive, and educational activties for your children, you should check out your local parks department or nearby museusms. There is so much to do! I enrolled Anna in a monthly homeschool program at our nearby childrens museum, and today was her first day. The kids were divided into age groups, and then they spent 1.5 hours learning about aquatic life (different topics each month). Parents don't stick around, so I was happy to meet up with a friend who had taken her son there as well. Next time I'll bring Payton so we can play in the museum while Anna is in class : )
After she was done, Anna and I spent about an hour in the museum. It was great to have some time for just the two of us. Anna REALLY enjoyed the day. How do I know? She had a lot to say at dinner time : ) Her favorite part of the lesson? Listening to the story about sharks. Her favorite part with Mommy? Making our pretend pizzas.
fun day out with your little girl! great idea to look into HS programs at the museum - i've done it with parks and the library, but not the museum.
