Family Time (Volume 4)

Last Friday night we had hoped to get together with friends, but our plans fell through.  So, we had the usual discussion about "what should we do tonight?" (That conversation always lasts longer than it seems it should).  Anyway, after an icy cold week, I only had one request ....can we get out of the house!?

So, after dinner we went to a nearby grocery store!  Exciting ... right?!?!   OK,  I know that sounds ho-hum, but this is a nice market type store with all of the so-called yummy specialty foods.  The girls enjoyed picking a treat from the colorful display of goodies in the bakery (It doesn't take much to excite little kids, does it?!)  They picked out a big pink heart-shaped cookie to share, and John and I split a hot drink from the coffee bar. The store has a second floor loft with tables, so we brought a few games and puzzles with us.  That's how we spent the rest of the evening.  It was worth it to get out!

 This is a photo of the BBQ chicken pizza I made that night.  I used to make this a lot when John and I were first married but I forgot about the recipe until a few weeks ago.  It's so easy and satisfying : )
