A little organization

Being organized - something I try to pursue. I can't say that it always comes easily or that I'm the best at it, but every now and then I get an idea that works for our family.

I'm a fan of laying out clothes for the kids ... for many reasons.  It really makes our mornings run smoother and cuts down on fussiness about clothes (if you have girls, even young girls, you know what I mean).   For a while I tried just laying our their clothes the night before and it soon fell by the wayside b/c I wasn't disciplined enough to add another task to our night time routine.  Then I tried grouping outfits together in the girls' drawers. That also didn't work the best.  So, this is what I did.  I bought a canvas shoe rack and hung it in the girls' closet.  After doing laundry, the girls place five of their outfits (with underwear and socks) in their designated slots.  In the mornings, they pick out an outfit and get dressed.  This is so simple.  It works for now (I see a sweater rack in our future) and I'm so glad : )
