Since John and I would rather spend time and money on our anniversary, which is in January, we usually reserve this "holiday" for Daddy and his daughters. So, yesterday the girls and I made cards and crayon valentines for John and put them in a bag with a few extra goodies that we had already bought for him. The girls were so excited for him to come from work. They waited by the door so they could exclaim, "Happy Valentines Day!" Little Payton couldn't remember the words and caught herself saying "Happy Birthday" a few times. Such a two-year old : ) John surprised the girls with a bouquet of daisies, some balloons, and .... a Starbucks giftcard!!! Ha! Whenever we pass a Starbucks Anna asks if we will buy her a breakfast sandwich or one of their treats. We rarely say yes because it's so pricey and unnecessary, so she will be excited to use it. In fact, this morning Anna said, "Mom, if we're running late sometime and don't have time for breakfast, we can just stop at Starbucks and use my card to buy some breakfast sandwiches, ok?" Sounds good to me.
