I really do cherish these weekends with college friends.
It can be hard to even make time during the year for phone conversations, so it's nice that we can depend on these little reunions to see each other and keep in touch.
This year we met in Illinois and my friend Janelle (long dark hair) was a great hostess. She made the yummiest of food and let the rest of us sit back and enjoy some "time off."
We spent most of the weekend just relaxing and talking, but we also kept a few traditions. We always do a gift exchange/birthday party and have a night of bingo - I know that sounds b.o.r.i.n.g, but with a fun crowd and giftcards for the winners, it really is a super time. I didn't leave empty handed : )
I left feeling encouraged and refreshed and ready to come home and see John and the girls. Even though I really enjoyed myself, I missed them!
I'm starting my tally of how many of these "get aways" you have this year!! :)
