On Tuesday we took a swamp boat tour. This was a favorite excursion for me because the scenary is so unique and, really, when am I ever going to see alligators in the wild again? Never ... I hope : ) Actually, we felt very safe in the boat with our entertaining tour guide. I think the girls enjoyed this experience. At one point Payton pointed at a baby alligator and said, "That one is me, I'm the baby alligator." Please don't bite!
John's family left on Wednesday morning, but before the long car ride, we decided to get beignets one last time at Cafe Du Monde. These French donuts are seriously delicious! They're fried and warm, and it's probably a good thing that we don't have them next door.
Don't let this photo fool you. Anna was a fan of the powdered sugar only ... that white mound went straight to her belly.
Anna cried when everyone left. We really enjoyed our time with family : )
