Disney Vacation 2012 (Part 4)

Ok, onto the next day.  I must admit that I didn't get a lot of good pics while we were at the Animal Kingdom.  Sometimes it's just a hassle to get the camera out, you know what I mean?

We tried to hit all of the major attractions at this park.  One thing I learned about Disney is that they aren't into making the biggest and fastest rides, but rather creating entertaining and unique attractions.  That's what the Expedition Everest Coaster was like - very cool : )   We did the Kilimanjaro Safari as well, which the girls really enjoyed.  It was fun for them to find all of the animals in their "homes".  My favorite attractions were the shows.  The Lion King is a MUST SEE.   Payton loved Pumba and after they show she kept saying, "I want to be Pumba!"  We also had fun when we ate lunch at the Tusker House.  The restaurant was very loud and busy which seemed a bit chaotic, but Donald Duck and friends walked around the tables and started a dancing congo line with the kids.  All of the kids loved it and the adults ate WAY to much food at the buffet : )

We definitely enjoyed our day at the Animal Kingdom but we weren't disappointed that it closed at 6pm.  Really, by 3:00 we felt like we had done everything we wanted to do with kids in tow.  You can see just as many, if not more, animals at a nearby zoo but it wouldn't be as exciting at DISNEY!
