Disney Vacation 2012 (Part 6)

A final recap!   Going to Disney World was a different kind of vacation.  It's not really a relaxing place, but it's so fun. So, we were up for it!  If we had more time and funds it would have been nice to spend a few extra days just lounging at the hotel.  Maybe next time?

Having this experience with my parents and brothers was a treat.  I can't imagine that we'll ever have this kind of opporunity again, especially with the kids at this age. Yes, it was difficult at times to move around with 16 people, but we did it (most of the time : ) and still managed to love each other at the end of the week and see nearly everything we wanted to see.  Maybe you noticed that we hardly got any pics of my extended family. A Disney person took one group shot, but that is the only one we had taken all week.  I can't believe it!  It was SO hard to slow down and have good talks with each other since we were "on the go" most of the time and busy keeping our eyes on the kiddos.

It was not a perfect vacation.  I WORE A FANNY PACK!!! Anytime that happens it can't be perfect! HA HA! We had our moments of impatience and parental poor judgement (when Anna rode the Haunted Mansion), but it really was a nice time.  Blessed.  Thank you, Lord.

Favorite Moments

Anna - "Going to see the castle, Minnie Mouse, and Rapunzel.  My favorite ride was Soarin."

Payton - "Goofy's Barnstormer"

Sarah - Cruising along and being held a lot by Momma

Pam - "Breakfast at the Castle with the family"

John - "Seeing the girls' excitement about everything."

Funniest memory - Calling my Mom's wheelchair a stroller by accident and on purpose : )

Every day we came back to the hotel to find a cute display in our window
 At the resort
Waving good bye to the castle

  1. Pam, I have loved reading all your Disney posts! I have some wonderful memories of a trip to Disney with the girls, and we're hoping for one more trip before Abigail graduates. It is a magical place.

I think the pic of Anna and Payton with Rapunzel is my favorite! Love the expression on both their faces.
