Fall Season!

We made wax leaves. I've wanted to do this with the girls for a few years now, and we finally did it last week.  I always thought the hot wax would be a safety issue, but it really wasn't a big deal.  We went to a local park and collected different types of leaves and lots of colors.  That was Anna's favorite part of the craft : )
I got instructions from this blog

This was so easy and the girls were really into it.  We made a garland for a window and then put the rest of the leaves in a vase for the table.  Inexpensive but pretty decor : )

On Saturday we went to a local garden for some simple activities - a little train ride and then pumpkin decorating and snacks.  It was a nice place and afternoon because the weather was perfect and it wasn't busy : )

Does anyone know of a local hayride that doesn't have creepy figures?
